1. Master’s Thesis — Accountability Over Convenience

For my five-year integrated master’s in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, I researched how public-sector employees actually collaborate with generative AI in creative and innovation work. The question underneath it all: when someone sits down to work with AI, what do they think they are working with — a tool, a partner, or something else entirely?

I ran a qualitative multi-case study — 13 semi-structured interviews across three Norwegian public organisations (a municipality, a national agency, and a public broadcaster), analysed thematically.

The thesis makes four main contributions. It introduces the Perception–Mechanism–Approach model, which explains how a person’s perception of AI’s autonomy — shaped by trust, knowledge, responsibility, ethics, and individual preference — leads them to treat AI as an assistant, a collaborator, or a critic. It identifies the accountability ceiling: a structural limit on AI autonomy in institutional settings, because responsibility for decisions cannot be delegated. It shows that evaluation in creative work becomes continuous rather than final, and it names a new creativity-relevant skill — keeping the idea space open against AI’s pull toward conventional answers.

The work combined qualitative research, framework development, and translating academic findings into practical guidance for managers adopting AI responsibly.

2. Strategy & Marketing — Normi AS

Alongside my studies, I worked part-time as a strategy and marketing assistant at Normi AS, a company in the HR-technology space. The role sat at the intersection of business strategy, market research, and communication — the practical side of the same questions I study academically.

I contributed to developing the company’s business and marketing strategy, and carried out market research on HR technology and the use of AI in the sector — mapping the competitive landscape and where AI was creating new opportunities and expectations. I was also responsible for producing the presentations and documents that supported the strategic process, turning analysis into material the leadership could act on.

On the marketing side, I developed and implemented a marketing plan that increased the company’s social-media traffic by 25% in a single quarter.

The project gave me hands-on experience translating research into commercial strategy: reading a real market, forming a point of view, and communicating it clearly to decision-makers. It’s the applied counterpart to my research interest in how organisations adopt AI — here, from inside a company navigating exactly that shift.

3. Teaching Assistant — Enterprise Architecture (NTNU)

In the autumn of 2025 I worked as a teaching assistant for the Enterprise Architecture course at NTNU’s Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering — helping students learn to align technology, strategy, and business capability.

I created learning material and built case-analysis models that students used to structure their thinking, translating an abstract discipline into concrete, workable examples. I supervised students through their coursework, guided them on how to approach the cases, and evaluated their deliveries — giving feedback that was rigorous but constructive.

To do the role well, I completed NTNU’s Learning Assistant Training (LAOS) and earned the accompanying certificate, which focused on effective teaching, supervision, and feedback.

The work sharpened two things I care about: explaining complex, systems-level ideas clearly, and helping other people build their own understanding rather than just handing them answers. Enterprise architecture is also directly relevant to my wider interests — it’s the discipline of making technology, strategy, and organisation fit together, which is exactly the challenge organisations face when they adopt AI.

4. Scisco — from student venture to AI knowledge hub

Scisco began in 2024 as an entrepreneurship project during my studies at NTNU. The original idea was aimed at international students in Trondheim — helping newcomers navigate studying and settling into a new country. Building it taught me the early, uncertain stages of a venture: identifying a real need, testing ideas with users, and iterating when the first concept doesn’t quite fit.

As I worked on it — and as generative AI moved from novelty to everyday tool — my focus shifted. The questions I found most compelling were about how people and AI actually work together, and Scisco evolved into what it is today: a platform for research, writing, and practical insight on human–AI collaboration, innovation, and technology strategy.

This website is the current form of that project. It’s where I share findings from my thesis, write about developments in AI, and document the work I do with organisations. Building and running it has meant wearing several hats — shaping the positioning and brand, producing the content, and making the design and technical decisions behind a fast, accessible, bilingual (English/Norwegian) site.

Scisco is deliberately a work in progress: a living extension of my research and a foundation I keep building on.

Alongside my own research, I have taken on limited part-time research and advisory projects with organizations working on AI, innovation, and strategy – as well some trade related. Several of these are under confidentiality, so I can’t share specifics — but the work typically involves evidence-based analysis of how a team can adopt AI well, weigh a technology decision, or understand a market.
